I've always been very cautious when I take my family boondocking. Maybe I've seen too many Friday the 13th and HILLS HAVE EYES movies. I never seem to sleep quite as good boondocking as I do at an RV Park. Anyone else like this?
Nope.
I sleep better. We usually boondock in places so remote people couldn't find us if I gave them a map and the coordinates.
I usually don't sleep well the first night I go anywhere. After that first night, I'm fine. Suspect it's just about getting used to the different sounds of each place since my bed is the same. I'm actually the same way in hotels and other people's houses - just need a night to acclimate.
Other than that, my biggest worry about boondocking is that something will go wrong and I won't be able to get back out of nowhere. Concerns about people and/or animals don't bother me.
