I've read every posting here and it comes down to choice and definition. Whatever your definition of camping is and if it works for you. Whether it is staying at an RV park, whatever the layout and capacity to boondocking (dispersed camping on public lands), to dry camping (at Wal-Mart, a FS CG, or one of the dry sites at an RV park (yes there are some of those)). That's the beauty of having your own RV. You've got the option and freedom to camp how you want and where you want and for that matter you can call it what you want, but I may still correct you!
And yes, we are one of those that pull up in our behemouth (spelling?), put up the satellite and enjoy being inside, but we also turn everything off and enjoy the peace and quiet whether inside or out, along with hiking. We are self contained and like it that way for the "camping" options.
