With family in Redding, what I'm looking for, is a good park close to their residence. That's Premier RV. Stayed at Mountain Gate once to be closer to Lake Shasta. Nice park. Keep intending to try JGW, but it is about 30 mins to the relatives. Durango in Red Bluff is very nice, but there's not much to do in the area. (If you stay there, the pizza place you drive by accessing the park is excellent!) Rolling Hills is great for a quick overnighter, but once again, not much to do in the area. We came across a very, very nice facility just south of the Oregon border last fall. Blue Heron RV. Beautiful park about 8 miles off 5 on the Klamath River. Pull-in sites for Class A coaches. Towables use sites that are not water front, but are still excellent. Had wild horses come down for water every night.
