Where can I camp next to a beautiful lake or river?

I often see photos of people camping within 40 feet of a beautiful fishing lake nestled in the mountains or a gentle stream running a dozen yards from their front doors, but I don't know where to actu...

X2 on Idaho campgrounds. Poison Creek campground at Cascade Lake State Park comes to mind first. We love camping there...in the summertime. Plenty of room to park that giant rig, too.
