Where can I camp next to a beautiful lake or river?

I often see photos of people camping within 40 feet of a beautiful fishing lake nestled in the mountains or a gentle stream running a dozen yards from their front doors, but I don't know where to actu...

Our favorite USFS CG is Sam Owen, on Lake Pend O'Reille in N. Idaho. One loop borders the Lake. The other loops close enough that some sites have lake view.
