Another essential source to check campgrounds is Google Earth / Google Maps or Bing Maps. Once I find a campground, I look at the overhead photos to get an idea of where I want to camp.

Kirby Landing - COE - Lake Greeson - off US 70 in west Arkansas - practically grew up in this CG - 20 weekends or more per year from 1964-1970

Brady Mountain, Tompkins Bend, Denby Point - COE - Lake Ouachita - near Hot Springs
Iron Mountain, Shouse Ford - DeGray Lake - just off I-30 near Arkadelphia in Arkansas southwest of Little Rock
Old Hwy 86 - COE - Table Rock Lake - south shore of the lake across from Branson MO
Havilland Lake - USFS - North of Durango, CO
Maumelle & Toad Suck Ferry - COE - on the Arkansas River northwest of Little Rock
