Big Bend is a RV park and race course in Louisville Ky, I think. Also they have a camping World, they normally allow parking in their lot overnight, unless the city is up in arms about it.
I spent a few nights at Big Bend around Father's day weekend for the races, in 2004 and 2006. It was really crowded that weekend, but most are OK.
I love to find wide open spaces to camp in, that is boondocking. However I will stay in a RV park because it is usually pretty quiet, and the cost is usually less than what 5 gallons of gas is these days. Why the big deal over a $20 campsite if that is close to the freeway, and easy to get to. While I will waste 5 gallons of gas to find a nice mountain top to camp on, or a lake to camp near, I figure that spending the night at Wal Mart is not really worth the $20 that I save.
