does anyone have a list of secure places one can drop a trailer for a day or two?
I would guess any campground that has a opening will be happy to rent that spot to you. :S - I would looking for big box hardware stores like Home Depot, Lowes and Menards. Ask customer service there. Park away from entrances and portion of lot far away.
If during week, check for large church lots. - Triker33ExplorerNearest Campground should work. And give you a place to sleep at night over getting a $$$ motel room for 1-2 days.
- 1320FastbackExplorerI always check into a Rv Park. At the least its a place to relax, if its too hot you have a pool, usualy gated with security and opportunity to dump the tanks.
- the_bear_IIExplorerIf an RV park is not expecting a full house you should be able to negotiate a fee for temporary storing your RV. Many RV parks have RV storage or overflow areas.
We have left our RV temporarily at (always with permission and sometimes a fee or donation):
RV Parks
Active Church parking lot during the week
Mom & Pop Grocery Store with a large mostly unused parking lot
Friend of a friend or relative's property
RV Repair Shop with large parking area or storage
Ranger Station
Fire Station - Us_out_WestExplorer
