- G7ARYMExplorerFor an authentic German experience try the Hofbrauhaus across from the Hard Rock Hotel 1 mile east of the strip. The building is a recreation of the one in Munich. Long wood tables and benches, real German beers and food but be careful, if you order a shot you get spanked. But then some go there for that. Not a cheap place to eat and drink but an experience.

great links Awesome hot dogs and burgers.
All in north Vegas. Away from the strip. These are my son's favorite when he lived there. - UppercrustExplorerI enjoy Mon Ambi Gambi in the Paris resort.
If you can try and get a table on the outside patio and watch the Bellagio fountains. Can't wait to take my daughter for a couple days in May. - RedRocket204ExplorerN9NE Restaurant at the Palms hotel is excellent. It's fine dining and a bit pricy though.
- atomlinsonExplorerHash House A Go Go has some of the most amazing breakfast food I've ever eaten. Located in the Linq casino (formerly the Imperial Palace).
- ga80486ExplorerUsed to go to Vegas twice a year for trade shows. These were the standby places to eat. Lately I only go once every year or two, but these are all still good.
Binions on the old strip. Good food, great views. http://www.binions.com/dining/index.php
The Palm in the mall by Cesar's Palace http://www.thepalm.com/Las-Vegas
The seafood buffet at the Rio.
Lawry's and PF Changs, are good pretty much anywhere.
Sadly the Tillerman is closed now. That was a nice one too. - spoon059Explorer IINaked City Pizza was really good, a couple miles off the strip. I might only recommend that if you have a car. Apparently you can't flag down a cab in the city, you have to go to a cab stand. Naked City is far off the beaten path. We got a cab ride there, had to walk about 10 miles back until we found a cab stand in front of a "gentlemens club". Good pizza, good wings!
For breakfast, try Hash House A Go Go. Apparently its a chain and there are some inside casino's. I went with a friend and we went to the one on West Sahara in Vegas. Very good food, ridiculous portions. - ependydadExplorerMan, wish you had posted this 3 weeks ago. Or I had. :) We ate at chains and none of it was very memorable.
We did hit a Southwest Diner in Boulder on our way back from he Hoover Dam. Downhome place that was quite good. - J_herbExplorer

Go to Battista's (sp) Hole in the Wall off the Las Vegas strip, get the free wine with dinner and the food will be good lol :-). Actually haven't been there in year's but I understand it's still pretty good. Year's ago, Alpine Village Inn was my in place to go whenever in Vegas but alas, they closed down..darn it!!!
We stop at Battista's most every year... good. We also like Bootlegger on the south strip. Excellent Italian selections.
