Anyplace south of I-10 is the general rule of thumb. When we were traveling fulltime, we wintered from southern CA, Yuma AZ, Valley of the Sun (Phoenix area), Tucson, Rio Grande Valley in TX., the Gulf Coast area from TX on east. Fell in love with Rockport TX. Also a winter in the Florida area, which generally is more expensive than other areas if your not careful.
See our travel blog and pictures for our experiences.
The other answer would be to keep going south until you are warm enough and have enough sunshine!!
Feel free to pm me if you want more specifics,
Good traveling and enjoy, you'll love it!
