Where to stay in Myrtle Beach

We'll be traveling from New York down to Myrtle Beach around Easter time. The amount of seemingly terrific campgrounds is dizzying. Can anyone make any suggestions? Not sure if we need to be right on the ocean, probably will be too cold to swim anyway. Not sure we would like one of those megaparks either. Bottom line is we're just not sure. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks.
