Understand. This is just my opinion. But for us. there is only ONE reason to go to the beach, and that is the beach. IF I'm going to drive for hours, and hours to get to the beach. I'm going to stay with in walking distance of the beach. Else I stay home.

In any of the MB CG. PL, OL, LW, MBTP. You are only steps from the sand. You can take a walk on the beach at any minute, with out having to load up, and drive. You can go out, and just sit, and if you need your camper facilities. Just skip back over the dune. Can't do that if you are not staying in an oceanfront CG.

At Easter. The crowds will be smaller. But if you want a quieter CG. MBTP would be the best bet, with PL next. At MBTP, You will be close to restaurant Row, and Barefoot Landing.

The state park is OK, But the campsites are not really walking distance to the beach. They are hiking distance.

Also Easter is late this year. So it very well could be swimming weather, At any rate. OL, LW, PL, have indoor heated pools. Not sure about MBTP, but I think it does.

If it is Easter week any campground will probably be busy with school out but a week before or after will be much more relaxed.

We like Ocean Lakes but some do not.........

MB Travel Park x 2 for us is a first rate place. Near everything you'd want to see and do especially golf courses all over. We've even rented condos a couple of times and brought several family members with us. Good luck...

Our favorite (really, the only place in the area we'll stay at) is Myrtle Beach Travel Park.

But if you don't care about being right on the beach or close to any of the other attractions, you might look into Willow Tree in Longs, SC. We've never stayed there, but lots of people really seem to like it. I believe it's a 20 minute or so drive into MB.

We just booked Myrtle Beach State Park this summer. Never been there but I hears it's nice. One thing for certain, the price is less!

Huntington Beach State Park for a quiet walk on the beach.

We stayed at Cypress "resort" once. Not much of an RV resort. They let several tent campers set-up next to us in an area that was not a camping site. They even hooked up to our power pedestal. Nothing against tent campers but when they tied ropes between the trees to dry their swimsuits and underwear, I was not happy. Bubba's dirty drawers were 3 feet from the large window in my living room for 5 days. The staff and security people stopped to look at the clothes lines, underwear flapping in the breeze and the tarps used to cover the leaky old tents several times but did nothing.

Myrtle Beach Travel Park. Beautiful beach, well run campground, has its own lazy river and two pools.
