- LaurenExplorerWe have stayed at 182 different RV parks - nearly all in the western 11 states and two western provinces. I / we can tolerate most anything except lack of honesty. There are three - one in Moab, UT, one in Hurricane, UT and one in Kelso, WA - that seriously violated that. If you have questions about those places feel free to drop me a PM or email.

This park and Bourne Scenic Park on the canal are pretty much occupied all summer by year round Cape residents that rent their house all summer. They move into the trailer, rent out the house and pay the mortgage and taxes for the year. - CrabbypattyExplorerPeters Pond on Cape Cod. There are more full timers in those pre fab cabins that own them. They didnt care for us "transients" even though we were there for a week. The guy on the end of our loop kids took over the street and when we were coming and going, he couldnt stink eye us enough. If that wasnt enough the pond is small, and from seemingly sunup to sun down, the kids on the motorboats and jet skis just did circles all day. It was like camping at a nascar track but with boats. Stay Away
- TyroneandGladysExplorerCHEAHA STATE PARK AL very rundown, big sign at entrance warning of tick infestation and brown recluse spiders in the bathrooms.

Crooked River SP GA. The gnats there are depraved
The campground is nice, the staff is great, but yes those Biting Midges (not gnats) can be absolutely terrible - mostly in late Summer and the Fall. Bug repellent helps quite a bit. If you are sitting outdoors, high speed fans tend to keep the midges away from you.
FYI, this species of Midges live in the salt marshes all along the coast. - mdcampingExplorer

Never never return to Yogi Bear Sturbridge. It was only a one night stay but if we had felt comfortable driving longer, we would not have stayed. We asked for a pull thru so we didn't have to unhook car from motorhome. Little did we know the pull thrus were so close together that we couldn't even open our door all the way due to the slideout from the unit beside of us. What little grass there was apparently hadn't been mowed all summer (this was August) because it was at least 8 inches high. Management rude. Filthy place.
I'll agree with you on that place... When I was there with our camping companions we were parked door to door. Kinda nice, I put out my awning and it touch his camper, like adjoining sites. No campfire that night, it was right under our awning. There was no sewer hook up in our area either, so when it became time to leave we had to tour the whole place to get to the one and only dump station. It wouldn't have been so bad if I could fit under the tree limbs. I had to haul it back to NH and dump in my own facilities. Not a bad place if you don't mind camping in a old gravel pit with hundreds of your new closest friends.
Oh, I should mention it was some sort of Halloween that weekend and we had about 200 kids come knocking on out door. Which we would have gladly left a bowl treats for them if we'd only been informed. It was still September. who knew????
X3
Wasn't our favorite either, lots of unkept campers, blue tarps. Our site was so unlevel, I used every block of wood I had and still couldn't level my TT. Interior roads were very tight making the 90 degree turns and just missing a few large trees.

- TvovExplorer IIOur worst was Brialee Family Camping in Connecticut. A combination of things: Nasty manager, unfriendly seasonals (really bad), and lack of maintenance. Lack of maintenance means the grossest bathrooms we've been in - backed up toilets, standing disgusting water on the floor, not cleaned all weekend.
Now, we haven't been there in years, so I hesitated to post this, but I went to read some recent reviews about the place... turns out things seemingly have not changed! A couple bad reviews, then a bunch of "best" reviews - hmmmm.
Some other campgrounds we've been to may have some bad reviews, but we went knowing what to expect.
One campground, on a drive through tour, just isn't all that great - but we've always had a fantastic time there and the people are all great.
Another campground right near my house is a "party" campground. If you go there wanting a quiet, undisturbed weekend - you will not like it. If you go there ready to have a few drinks with your neighbors and basically meet the whole campground as everyone (and all the kids) walk around saying hello, you will have a great time. - mdcampingExplorerI find this thread interesting, about 15 yrs ago we were at a campground in VT that we left early, along with 2 other out of state transient RVers. It was so bad I am not comfortable posting. Knowing what rock bottom is this experience has made me not sweat the small stuff and is why when I post reviews they are somewhat on the higher side.
I have read the campground has new owners,so hopefully things have turned around, regardless we will never come back.
