we are thinking of setting up a trip for late spring or early summer for a rafting trip in northern GA. any one have any experience or advice on where and when. thanks, al c.
  • or travel approximate 1.5 more miles NORTH into Nantahala - Lake Fontana, NC.

    Bryson City, TN area.

Rafting Nantahala is great, and little more beginner river, along with unbelieveable Mtns and activities.

  • Right across the GA/TN state Line, Ducktown, TN

    Raft the Ocoeee

Several outdoor companies, provide rafting trips in that area.

I recommend the second half river trips (there are full day trips), the top portion is so, so and full day gets a little too much for many.

Water pretty chilley and you do get wet, so warmer weather better.

    Ocoee Whitewater Center

Nicer campground with hook-ups in that area (if needed) -->

    Persimmon Creek Campground

Great area, do it and have a great adventure!
