Westernrvparkowner, I fail to see what you saw. Altho it is very nice that you have chimed in with your observations. I assume that you too, as your nick infers that you are a park owner, would be in accordance with harmony. Altho, I do have to admit that I have been in parks that do not emit ambience. BTW, I will be in your area this next summer and will be spending a few weeks there. My husband and I will be bringing a great grandchild to see some of our wonderful country. Have you anything that you especially think we should show her?
The administrator edited out the post I responded to. It was a post that was in full support of vigorously enforcing the rules of behavior of these forums, followed by a direct biblical quote. Which, of course, is a direct violation of those rules. I was just trying to point out the hypocrisy in such a post.
Per your question. It really depends on the age of your Great Grandchild. If they are a sub-teen, animals and adventure are the only thing that are going to interest them. Quite honestly, I have seen way to many very young bored to tears because their parents, grandparents and great grandparents think that they should spend a week looking a waterfalls, glaciers and other natural features. Those things just don't appeal to a 7 year old.
There are numerous semi-wild animal exhibits in Montana. West Yellowstone has the Grizzly discovery center. Outside Bozeman is the Montana Grizzly Encounter, where you can see Brutus, a grizzly that has appeared in more movies than any human actor you can name.
There is rafting and horseback riding throughout the state. The West Glacier area has water parks, go cart tracks and similar diversions for the more active set. While the Museum of the Rockies in Bozeman may interest youngsters with their extensive Dinosaur exhibits, the Charles M Russell Museum in Great Falls, home of some of the best western art anywhere, will likely set off a screaming fit.
Seven year olds don't relate well to Octogenarians interests. Their attention spans are shorter and they need much more physical and mental stimulation. Remember to keep your trip relevant to the youngest traveler and you all have a great time.
