Go on each of the sites and see the acceptable length of the site, and you will see that there are at least 50 percent of the sites with rigs longer then what the site is listed for.

Still going with the "at least 50 percent" ?
I've camped at Pennekamp 80 different times, 4 or 5 times at Long Key and Bahia Honda and once at Curry Hammock. Not once have I seen an RV that was too long for the site it was in. It's just about impossible for that to happen at Curry Hammock, although it could happen in the other three.
The problem getting a site in a state park in the Keys is not due to the length of the RV, but is almost totally the result of Florida joining the Reserve America reservation system. Before RA it was difficult to get a site in the Keys. Now it's near impossible unless you can pick up someone else's cancellation. Before RA you had to call each park to check on availability and make your reservation - not all that easy. Now you can just get on your computer see what's there, put in a few key strokes and you have a reservation - so much easier.
