tuna, Union Pass was high on my list for the eclipse -- we ended up in Stanley, boondocking. Where were you for the eclipse itself? And how were the conditions? We had some smoke in Stanley on that day, but the eclipse was easily visible, with no clouds.
And cbigham, there is a great motorbike/ATV road that goes up to Union Peak and then into the Winds. It's called the Seven Lakes Trail. (I tried to post a link to the Bridger NF description of the trail but the link did not work.)
Was camped at the Union Pass rd. bridge off GRL road. conditions were good except everybody who ever has been there showed up, but left just as fast. Was out riding and came back to lots of campers. Saw a group of Earth Romers coming out of Union Pass area the next day as I was riding up the pass, pulled off the road and watched them coming down by Tosi Ck. must have been 25 of them.quite the site.
