Winning the RV campsite lottery

We mostly boondock so play a different kind of campsite lottery, but I know what you mean about the feeling of Lady Luck sittin' on your shoulder. That's exactly the way I feel when I travel 300 miles to my favorite "secret" boondocking spot and it's actually EMPTY when I get there. I spend the whole drive telling myself that I couldn't possibly be that lucky again, and listing alternative sites in my mind, and telling myself I don't really care that much...but every time I roll up and there's no one camped there it feels like a monster stroke of luck. We're up to four years running without a loss on that spot!

And now that I said that I've probably jinxed it for next year.
