Texas gets 2-6 weeks of winter (maybe longer this year.) It's not that sub-tropical area that the brochures (and some on the forum) want you to think it is.
Tom you're an ol'timer so I'm not saying anything new to you, but for the newbies that's the reason you can get a spot for $350/month or even less for four months. Plan accordingly and you'll have a good time. The weather isn't what makes Southern Texas, it's the people you'll find their. I suppose if the weather was great, the people (and volume) would be more like you find in Florida.
