Good choice, Donna is centrally located in the Rio Grande Valley, but don't lock yourself into just Donna. There are nearly 500 parks in the Valley ranging from under $200. a month to about $800. a month. They have a wide range of facilities and activities. Some are very nice & some nasty and some poor sites in the nice parks & some really nice sites in some of the cheaper parks. Most parks will have vacancies all Winter, at least they have the past several Winters. So find a spot for a week or so & visit many parks until you find what you like at a price that is fair to you. Don't be shy about asking for discounts for 1st timers, depending on the month and length of stay many parks will offer a deal. Be aware that many parks are located on either expressway 83 or business 83 and can have a lot of traffic noise. Even these parks may have quiet sites depending on the location of the site within the park. Also if you can get a site where your patio faces north your rig will block the prevailing wind from the gulf and provide afternoon shade. If you have further questions you may get more response on the snowbird forum. Be sure to visit Nuevo Progreso Mexico. Great dining, drinking, shopping, dentists and pharmacies.
Welcome and feel free to keep asking questions. This year will be our 11th season in the Valley & we love it.
