wisconsin northbound CG

Hi,
Anyone now of any RV parks for O/N heading north thru Wisc in early April. Looking at I94 to Minneapolis area as we will be N/B from Effingham, Ill. Found a few listed on RV ParkRvs but just wondered if anyone knew of any for O/N. Prefer a CG to a Wallyworld.. Just like electric as I know water lines will be frozen yet..
Thanks
  • Cliffside in Racine county is really nice, but its 10 miles from I-94. not exactly an O/N type stop.

Token Creek is just north of Madison and is right off of the exit. Also a very nice county park with large level sites. Easy in, easy out.
  • Chicago/NW KOA in Union, IL will probably be closer to your route than IL Beach SP. It opens April 11th, according to the 2014 KOA book. LaSalle-Peru KOA (IL) opens April 1. Neither is great, but they'd do for an overnight. Not sure if they're open, but Hickory Hollow CG, also near Utica, IL, is decent as well, and quite convenient to the interstate (on I-80 but not too far east of I-90).

Not much open that early in the season in northern IL & WI.
  • Cliffside Park ($23/night) near Racine Wisconsin opens on the 11th of April
    - 20/30/50 Amp electric at all campsites and water at most campsites.

Also, Illinois Beach State Park ($25/night) near Zion Illinois opens on the 1st of April
    - 20/30 Amp electric at all campsites, 50 Amp electric at some campsites.
  • Madison KOA. Easy on and off 94 (DeForest exit just north of Madison). Opens April 01. Many restaurants and fuel nearby. We have stopped there several times. Good people and very clean. All pull thrus.
