Wompatuck State Park, Boston, MA

We are planning to go to Wompatuck SP in June. I have heard that some sites are hard to get level in but most are good. However I do not know which ones to avoid. Can someone help me out with the good one. We do want an electric site. Thanks
  • We stayed there when doing the Boston history trail. It was nice but a b#t$h to find. Whatever they spend money on it is not on signage showing the way to parks. But once found it was good, reminded me of Stone Mountain in GA without the mountain..heh. We drove to a nearby town and caught the ferry to Boston avoiding driving there. Boston was hotter than Hades, so plan to roast. People always talk about how hot Florida is but we have nothing to compare to Boston and DC in June and July.

I bet it's expensive. Most places are the farther you go east.

About $25 a night. Not bad considering the location. Some sites at Normandy Farms are over a hundred.

But then you have that fancy place in Petosky at $100 a night.
  • Yesterday I called the park and got the info that I needed. The rate is not bad. The do charge $10 extra for non MA residents and $6 for electric hookups. Total was $33/night.
    Thanks for the replies.
