Got wet this week. We beat the mud home, but lots of muddy trucks in town. Lows in the mid-20’s so I’m glad I drained the camper water and blew out the system with low pressure air.
Good weather, seasonal chill forecast next week, so we’re looking forward to a great elk camp. We’ll be on private ground near Cokeville.
If you are camping in the National forest bring a chainsaw. New deadfall across the roads can be a daily occurrence.

+1 ! - memtbExplorerRich, We’re gonna be hunting north of Thermop (Grass Creek area), which puts us only about 50 miles from home. We got really lucky this year, we ( both of us hunt) drew late season “any” elk, and late season deer. The DW is carrying a bear tag ( she’s taken 2 and wants another) and I a lion tag. So....if all the “planets align” we could, though unlikely, get... 2 elk, 2 deer, a bear, a cat, and maybe a wolf (pack ;) ) We plan on “living with the animals” for about 4 weeks! :B

You’re gonna need a bigger freezer!
Best we’ll do is 4 elk, but only need one. Got friends who need the meat.
Good luck! - memtbExplorerGood Luck to you and yours, as well. Be safe out there!
We have folks that we can share.....kids and friends! - richcloverExplorerOctober in the high country. Photo taken this AM. It won't last.
Actually this "first snow" is about a month late.
