We also like Grizzly RV Park in West Yellowstone.
When you are driving, get started early in the day to try to beat some of the crowds. Talk to the Park Rangers about special places to go that may have fewer visitors. We were directed to a short hike to thermal pools and small bubbling geysers where we were by ourselves. The rangers said that you can go up next to the pools if you see bison footprints around.
Try not to get too upset with foreign tourists parking in the dedicated RV spots with their rental cars at many of the sights, but you do have permission to take away and destroy "selfie sticks" from those visitors.
My mother grew up in Butte, MT and I been going to the park for over 60 years ago. My cousins worked in the park and I would often stay with them there during the summer. I have stories to tell.
