This may seem like a silly question, but why do you need full hookups for a three-night stay in each park? Aren't RVs supposed to be, y'know, self-sufficient for at least that long? Will you really run out of water, tank capacity, propane, etc. in three nights???
If you expand your search to non-hookup sites, you'll find that there are about eight times as many in the two parks as full-hookups--after all, the campgrounds were designed for tent camping--and you should be able to find a spot to reserve even at this late date. Also, since you have a toad, you should consider the many Forest Service campgrounds just outside each park.
