- Dick_BExplorerWe took the bus tour of YNP and made notes on what sights were worth seeing on our own.
- Bionic_ManExplorerWe went the second week of June last year. And that is the last time we will go anywhere near "prime season". Just (way) too busy for our tastes. Fun place, but the crowds can be overwhelming.
- agesilausExplorer IIILet me put it this way, we've spent about 2 months in Yellowstone and Grand Tetons over the years and still haven't seen everything. Indeed we are making another trip this summer just to the GTNP after coming to the conclusion last summer that we have missed a lot in that park.
In YNP just visiting the main attractions--the geysir basins and the mud pots along with Mammouth Hot Springs will use 7 to 10 days with a side trip to Tetons. Of course this assumes that you get out of your vehicle and walk around. Don't expect to get anywhere fast in either park, traffic is awful. And do make reservations as soon as possible if you haven't already.
