Hi all, I have been trying to weed through all the various posts regarding Yellowstone Park looking for advice. There are so many and some old so I thought I would post a few questions and solicit some opinions so my wife and I could cut it down to one thread. Sorry if it’s the same old thing to some you.
We’re thinking of going during the first couple of weeks of June.
7 days in Yellowstone and 2 days at the Grand Teton National Park (so far)
We have a class C 24 foot RV.
A few question:
RV campgrounds - Just one or rotate, likes, dislikes
Getting around with/without a car
If only 7 days top 5-7 things to see
Cell and hotspot reception?
Tips and advice welcome.
Thanks
Dennis & Mary
We need more information. Will you have a car/toad, do you need full hookups or are you prepared to dry camp?
There are many great campgrounds inside Yellowstone and only one that has hookups, Fishing Bridge. Many choose to move their camp throughout their stay but it will take up your valuable time in the park. Do try and stay inside the park if you can. The experience is worth it, evening ranger programs, animal viewing at sunset and not having to drive in and out every day. In case you haven't already heard, Yellowstone is huge. In short, make your reservations as soon as you can. We made ours last July for this year in August.
Although many will say 7 days are plenty, truth is that it will just wet your appetite to come back time and again. This year will be our 7th time in the park. We started with 2 days and worked our way up to 3 weeks. We still haven't seen all the park has to offer. We are spending 2 weeks this year with another week at Colter Bay in the Grand Tetons.

On edit... Don't worry too much about your campground, most of your time will be spent out in the park. Most typically only eat breakfast, dinner and sleep at their camp. Lunch is usually packed or bought somewhere in the park.
One more thing, if you are planning for June, be prepared for overnight cold and possible snow. It is not uncommon. It will warm back up quickly.
