Yellowstone RV Parks

Thinking about spending some time visiting Yellowstone. We would like to spend a month. Last time we were there, we stayed at a place by Henry's Lake in Idaho. Where is the best place and best monthly costs?

  • West Yellowstone, MT has many RV Parks with varied prices. Never been there mind you, but have read may reports & suggestions from folks who have been.

Gardiner, MT just at the North Entrance by Mammoth has a few RV Parks. We have been there, but not in a RV Park.

Cody, WY would be the most east entrance with not only Several RV Parks in the Cody area. But one would have a longer drive into Yellowstone from there.

South Entrance is near Jackson, WY & the Tetons.

Here's an Old Post on Yellowstone & Wyoming Sites & Sights, maybe something in it will be of help.
  • We stayed at Grizzly twice because of the convenience of being right in town. Everything is walking distance. Its an excellent RV park. That said It wasn't cheap. A month could be pricy there.
  • We stayed at Rocky Mountain RV park, Garnier, MT. Stayed 3 nights - close to the north entrance. Not sure about the price for month. We were there only 3 nights and it worked good for us - we wanted full hook ups. We passed allot of places on the way to Garnier from I90.
  • my BILs friends used to stay at a small park just north of Yellowstone in Montana. don't remember the name but do remember a fuss years ago when an irate neighbor kept driving by and honking, etc.

We stay here every time we come out from Kentucky.
  • If your staying a month....Red Rock would be a good choice for full hook ups.....you could do two weeks at Baker's Hole with electric?? So many choices and a varied cost.
  • Too bad Baker's Hole has a time stay limit - to us that's the best place and best cost. This all depends on your type of RV place. For us, we'd prefer Henry's Lake area, Red Rock to be specific or Baker's Hole. Grizzly is super nice but can be spendy, so when we stay there it's in passing, then we catch up on laundry, empty our tanks and fill up with water before heading to Baker's Hole.
  • For cost, the place out at Henry's Lake.
For convenience to the town and the Park, Grizzly in West Yellowstone.
