York Beach Maine area

Question

I will be in York / Wells this weekend for 2 days. I would love to be able to sleep and listen to the ocean. I would only be there for a few hours. Through the night.

If anyone has any ideas I would be thrilled to hear them.

The only one I know anywhere around there is Recompence up at Freeport, but it's a campground. They have some waterfront sites but not much for the "sound" of the ocean as it's on a bay. When I was there it was much like a state park as opposed to a commercial CG. Certainly is not boondocking.

We were at Libbys Oceanside RV park last May, and we had a nice site on the water, expensive and a little tight, but it really was beautiful!

Libby's would be the ticket but it doesn't open until mid May.
