Floods are almost an annual event, indeed the parks does not do reservations on some sites since they expect them to be flooded. The CG is right on the river. After it becomes obvious that they are past the usual flood period then they let them be reserved. We picked up an extra three days in the valley when they opened up reservations on those sites when we were there. So they are used to dealing with some flooding anyway.
