Yosemite Water Falls this Spring -- What time

I know that there has been less snow than normal this year. Is the first or second week of May too early or too late to visit to see water over the falls?

  • Many of the Yosemite waterfalls are running year around. Yet more water in the spring. And there are some tiny creeks that come off the mountains and make "new" or temporary falls during the spring melt.

Anytime is a great time to be there.

One ranger once answered a question for a visitor. She had asked "IF I only have 3 hours to visit Yosemite, what should I do?" The answer naturally was "Go sit down and cry" This is because if you only have 3 hours to visit Yosemite, you should be crying. . . .

    Have a great visit.

    Fred.
