- steveh27ExplorerRenee,
Those are shades for the picnic tables. There are vault toilets as well. I had my Dish Tailgator out & got great sat TV.
A few more pics: - ReneeGExplorerSteveh27 - my kind of remote site. What are those structures in the circle? Cabanas?
- steveh27ExplorerHere's Sage Creek Campground in the Badlands National Park, SD. It was April 11-12, 2012. This is 13.5 miles off the pavement with no hookups. I was the only person there & shared it with the buffalo.

This is a popular boondocking spot that a lot of people seem to know about, but after 45-minutes we were able to find a deserted spot down by the lake
The trail in was narrower than the TC in spots, but managed to avoid breaking anything. My rig is 12'1" tall at the highest point, which makes this type of thing a challenge.
Nice spot for a campfire, and absolutely silent except for the mosquitos
Great views from the shore 100' away. That's Mt. Bachelor on the right. - SubVetExplorer
