Oh! Good question. I searched and couldn't find the original post with pics. - steveh27ExplorerWhen did insp1505 make the original post & on what forum? I could not find it on boondocking.
- ReneeGExplorerI agree tdst51. We've been there several times, but the last was in 2009 and have just had the time to go back.

This is my favorite place to boondock. Not too far from home and because the road is very rough there isn't many other RV's. I've never seen a towed RV or motorhome (I'm not sayin someone wouldn't be crazy enough to tow or drive one in there, I've just never seen it yet) only TC's but mostly tents.
This last week my two kids and I had the lake all to ourselves, probably because the weather wasn't the best until Monday when we had to go home. The reservior is at 7600' elevation so we got snow on Thursday afternoon and overnight temps in the mid to high 20's, daytime highs were high 40's to low 50's until Monday when it got into the low 60's.
Even though the weather wasn't the best we still had a blast and the fishing was great!! We tried, but didn't see any elk this trip like we normally do, just deer and antelope. The Arctic Fox did a wonderful job of keeping us warm for 5 days and 4 nights.
So tell me- can I make it up there with my 32' fifth wheel?!? Thanks; looks like an awesome spot! - tdsxt51Explorer

A little perspective...
From the "front yard". Monument Valley in the distance.
Man oh man we live in a beautiful country, but there is nothing like the West and Southwest anywhere in the world. Great pics, and I can't wait to get back out there. Only 3 1/2 more years... - ReneeGExplorerMesoman7 - know the Stanley area well. Just went up yesterday exploring but way too much snow on the side roads, just right though for cross country skiers.

I didn't take the trailer up the Moki Dugway. I came in from the north. It might have been doable, but ONLY if you didn't meet anyone coming the other direction. I did take the Tacoma down and back up. Not a problem.
On the way back up, there was a black Porsche 911 at the bottom. I thought; "Certainly, they're not going to take that up the Moki." Well, shortly after returning to Muley Point, there was the Porsche parked in front of my campsite. Now keep in mind that I had to carefully maneuver my high-clearance Tacoma over a few spots. I saw an older couple returning to the car. I said; "I can't believe you got that car in here". He says (in a strong German accent); "Yah, I vas very careful". Gotta love those German tourists. - profdant139Explorer IIMesoman, how did you get that trailer up the Moki Dugway?? That is a very tricky road.
Great photos, folks! - ReneeGExplorerLove the pics too!
Mesoman7 - our fist boondock I was the same way! Not anymore, I prefer boondocking out in the middle of what seems like nowhere. No neighbors.
SoCalz - love that photo and love that spot too!
