As Lauren says, it's too tough to come up with just one. It depends on the season, the activity, etc. etc. We love Banff for the scenery, Glacier for the hikes, Canyonlands NP for the vastness. Kayaking to the front of a glacier in Alaska is a memorable experience, as is hiking the Chilkoot Trail into Canada and seeing all the things left behind by the gold seekers. Exploring remote Native ruins in the southwest is intriguing.
I will say that in the 11+ years I've been posting here, I've never once given out where our favorite camping area is. It's still relatively quiet and undiscovered and although it is getting found by more people, I'm going to keep it as quiet as possible. I will narrow it down to west of the Mississippi! ;)
