We like it both ways. Many times we go camping in a State Park in the middle of the woods and admire the gorges and go kayaking and bike riding. Unplugging from the world. But we also like to visit places. My wife and I had jobs that didn't allow for much time off to travel and see the touristy places but did allow for us to retire in our 50's. We like to see what we hoped to see back in the day and we're still young enough to enjoy those places. Then we return to our RV knowing our sheets are clean, there's no bed bugs and we're not paying $200/night.
