Any thought on the popularity of the maggie rack roof rack system? Lance has used it for quite some time and it seems adventurer is getting in on the action. I installed on my 2012 wolf creek after driving to the topline factory in LA and picking up. I ordered my second wolf creek 850 withouth the pathetic little joke of a roof rack they are installing and planning on installing a second maggie rack system. Why is northwwod mfg so far behind the times with their roof rack storage sysyems? Is anyone from northwood mfg actually monitoring this forum?My install off the maggie roof rackHow it held up rolling off my truck, the drivers side rear came loose. Side note, I used the 3m high bond tape to install the solar panel andit did not move at all!!! I did not use it on the maggie roofrack.

I have it on my Lance ,probably going to put a storage tray basket on it.

Can you elaborate on how you attached the solar panel with the VHB tape? I am in the process of moving a solar system from my older Northstar camper to my new AF 990 and may consider using the tape instead of screwing the panel down.

I too am in the planning stage for mounting three 120WATT size solar panels on my off-road POPUP roof. I will want the two front 120WATT panels to have quick disconnects so that I may move them to remote ground locations when necessary to keep in the high sun when I need to. My off-road trailer roof may also get overloaded when raising with its electric motor with all three panels already installed on the roof so I may have to mount the two front 120WATT Solar Panels in place after I have the roof raised and locked down...Your "MAGGIE RACK" idea may work out for me as well...Thanks for the photos - nice clean layout...Roy Ken

I find that the only good thing about Northwoods roof rack is that it gives me something to grab onto to help me get up on the roof when I climb the ladder. Thats the only benefit I can come up with. A grab handle located in the right place would be better.

Yes, still thinking about how and where to mount them. I have 2 group 29 batteries right now and have just been using my honda gen. I was planning on mounting my solar panels to the unistrut and also Trying to figure out how to allow room for the surfboards.

Another use for the maggie rack :) poor mans rear awning

I like the low profile and reduced weight of the aluminum Uni-strut. Looks like a nice job on the install.
I've carried two mountain bikes up there. I had to twist the handlebars 90 degrees, but they traveled fine. We've also put a 15'4" canoe on the rack. The canoe was slightly heavier than the two bikes, about 75 pounds vs. 64 pounds, but neither arrangement was very noticeable. I'd do it again without thinking twice.
Fresh water Oyster farm in Tenn., last Feb. You only see the red bike on top, but there's another bike on the other side.

I have a crew cab truck...the back seat is very convienent to haul stuff, store stuff, and best of all... get to stuff... rain or shin, snow, wind, just open the door.

Then get one and a bunch of solar panels.

I'd like more PVSolar...
