2010 F-53 fuel pump. Where to buy?

The fuel pump on my 2010 (built in 2009, as per the vin) is shot, I think.  Where are you guys getting your pumps?

I'd rather stick with a motorcraft, if I can. I also see that Delphi and Bosh make good units as well.

I'd rather not get an Amazon knock off being that I'm doing the install myself and by all accounts it looks like a bit of a PIA.

Thanks

  • I’d stick with Motorcraft if you can find one at a reasonable price. The fuel pump isn’t a job I’d want to repeat, so saving a few bucks on a cheaper unit usually isn’t worth the risk. Delphi and Bosch are also solid choices and have good reputations for OEM-quality parts

I’d avoid the no-name Amazon pumps too. A lot of them seem fine at first but fail early, and the labor involved makes it a frustrating job to redo. Check places like RockAuto, Ford dealers, or reputable parts suppliers for the Motorcraft/Delphi units. Make sure you match the exact VIN since there can be production changes even within the same model year.

Yup.  Dropped the tank, using rachet straps.  Snaked the new fuel pump in, ratcheted it back up and secured the tank straps.  By myself.

  • Not very many mechanics on here and not many peoples in general on here. And not a RV specific question.
Also, do you actually understand what you need to do to replace it?  You think?

Dropping a 60gal gas tank is not an I think type of project, lol.
And yes buy a good one not a cheap one. There is no question to be asked if you actually have done more than 10 min work on a car before.
