You can also do it by adding a 2nd panel and feeding the old panel from the new one with a 30 amp breaker. That makes the old panel a sub. I did that in our old TT and moved the A/C to the new panel on the "extra" phase. Solves a bunch of problems. Make sure to re-label the old panel as a sub panel. After I was done I could run everything at the same time. I think I spent about 300 bucks for everything.
