So wanted to install a bigger TV in my Gulf Stream Conquest 271FSL. I knew there had to be a way that would allow me to do it and it not be in the way to much. I had one of these wall mounts left over...

I did pretty much the same as the OP. 32" screen on articulated mount, attached to plywood backer, plywood fastened into studs. It hasn't moved an /inch in a few years.
