I really doubt it's lighter but it sure is flexible even in freezing weather.
If you have access to an electrical wholesale supply house you can get ti by the foot. Check around there are better places to buy.
This is 40' of the SO 6/4 cable in a 3 gal bucket, doesn't matter, if it 80 degrees or 30 degrees outside still easily goes in the bucket!
