gbopp, i used a clear pine 2 x 8 for the face and a 1 x 6 for the rest. When i started the project i was going to do it in fiberglass, but as time was short(heading out for a family reunion) i settled for the pine. still may do the fiberglass this winter when i cannot ride my bike or go camping.
