Add screen room onto awning?

The popup we have now has an attchable screen room that zippers onto the awning itself. I know that we would like to have that added to the Class C when we get one. So my question is, can this be done? Can a screen room be added to an existing awning? or would we have to get a whole new awning? If they even make one.

I can imagine it would be hard to put on a reg awning, I know on the popup, we raise the roof a few inches, unroll the awning then zipper the screen room to it and then raise the roof and awning together. We learned the hard way not to try and zipper the screen room on with the roof all the way up. But it is so nice to sit outside under the awning having dinner without having to swat at mosquitos! My wife calls me her personal mosquito magnet...... My record for mosquito bites while camping was 53 bites over a 2 day period at.Wells state park in MA....

  • We used to have a room awning on previous MHs, I think from Carefree of Colorado, The main support is a rubber slide that slips into the existing awning track. The unit we had also used two aluminum poles for support. I know Carefree still has screen rooms, ours was a canvas enclosure.
The kids preferred sleeping in the "tent" rather than the rig.
    Nice memories.
