My truck also has the TARHEEL "LIL TARHEEL" screwdriver antenna mount to the truck bed and I can run a RG cable to that and use my Base station setup KENWOOD TS-850S setup from the trailer. One area of my bigger RV was I run several RG cables and the such from one end of the trailer to the other using the Air Conditioner foam ducts built-in to the trailer ceiling. You can pull down the vents which are about every six feet or so and fish RG cables anywhere you need to go. Most often all of this gains access to ceiling mounted cabinets where you can come down and hide the RG cables with ease to where they need to go... Just be sure to re-seal up any holes you make leaving the foam duct with spray in foam so the air conditioner ducts can hold their designed pressure they need to have.
All of my Ham radio seems to run off 12VDC so I installed a separate 12VDC BLUE SEA PANEL which is direct connected to batteries...
