Hi,
I'm in a class C.
I mounted the inverter behind the driver's seat. That kept it within four feet of the battery bank.
I fished wire back to the shore power cord "hatch" inside the RV.
I placed a 30 amp receptacle inside the hatch.
This way nothing is left outside to get wet, or to grow wings.
I shortened the shore power cord to 4 feet, put on a male plug, and added a female plug to the left over shore power cord.
I fished a dedicated inverter outlet in the kitchen area so that I can have extra power in the kitchen--and that can be used at all times, without "powering up" the rest of the RV.
I prefer manual systems, so I set the fridge to propane and leave the OEM converter unplugged on the 120 volt input side.
The unit I installed is an inverter/charger and has pass through capabilities.

Hi guys
I am thinking of installing an inverter inside the front cargo hold and running a wire to the outside to a 30 amp receptacle so that I can plug my trailer plug into it when I want to use the inverter for power.
Has anyone done this? If so, can you share some pics and how you did it?
Thanks
