mattyj, your question shows you know little about RV electrical. Get the basics by reading online. It will be time well spent. Not many seasoned RVers would even consider using single a group 27 battery.
I've been Rving for 50+ years, I currently have 1 grp27 battery and have for 20 years in my Lance truck camper and do just fine. I don't use a bunch of stuff but it powers my lights, pump, lap top and charges all my electronics. I stickily boondock and as long as my food holds out i'm good. I do have solar and a generator that I carry but never use as the solar takes care of everything.
LOL//Yup..After over 50 years of rving,I guess were not seasoned enough...Laffin
A bunch of the older truck campers only came with one battery..No room for two conventionally in the space provided..We get by from using things like, Catalytic heat that uses no battery at all or portable hand chargers for our phones and laptops if we even took them..
Heck,I never weighed any RV until I read about it on the internet, now it's fun with a grain scale a block away..Never worried about batteries either,I have ran them until the TV screen started shrinking then recharged them..Never noticed any degradation replacing them every 5 years or so and they cost less than $100..
The old way was boring but inexpensive, this new internet way is fun but expensive...
That's my inexperienced take on it...
