I built some Years ago,but used the wrong type of Pipe! Too heavy and nearly impossible to grip the fabric!
Be sure not to use schedule 4 or whatever the a good PVC pipe is called in Your part of the World!
Simple to make ! 18 Inches of Light weight PVC Pipe .Run the pipe through a Table Saw to slit one side. Drill two holes part way in from both ends . Run a SS Eye Bolt with SS Washers and a SS Wing Nut through the Holes ! clamp down on the fabric and attach the eye bolts to the Awning Rafters with Bungee Cords!
