I have one of these and can tell that it will put a significant prying load on the walls of your trailer that can only be resisted by lag bolts through the walls with backing plates. Sure you don't want to do that. I mount mine on the ladder at the back of the trailer as it was intended for. Trailer walls are not strong enough for anything other than light loads. Add to that the fact that this is not a static structure - it moves and bounces down the road, and puts dynamic loads on the attachment locations. I am sure you can see where I am going with this.

I agree. We also have one of those units and they are great...BUT...with several wet towels on there, it is very heavy. We put ours on the rear ladder...Works great as long as the weather is suitable and we are not in one of those campgrounds that has a "no laundry hanging outside" rules.

I added a shelf in the bedroom for my satellite receiver and dvd player using 8" shelving brackets from home depot and a laminated board screwed to the brackets. I saw various size shelving brackets, I want to say as small as 6" that should work fine for that purpose. I used 1" tan colored wood screws to match the wall paper and the shelf held up spectacularly on our Ouachita trip last week. I did use the industrial double sided tape to keep the dvd and receiver from sliding off of the shelf and they did not budge. The Louisiana roads were horrific and everything held up great.

Yeah, with the heat and humidity, I just don't see the Command hooks working long term. I am looking for a slim little shelf that I can sit on the bathroom counter, to add space to put deodorant, lotions and the such.

Our humidity is too high and this time of year with temperatures dipping into the mid 40's and back into the high 70's to low 80's, the walls sweat and the command products only last a day or two and fall with the weight of a small broome I had hung. Tried one for a hat hook, no go, tried several for aluminum ladles and spatulas...2 days, FAIL! Having said that, I even tried double sided industrial sticky tape to hang some led puck lights.........FAIL! I have a few of the over the door hangers here, and I will take one out and see if that will work!

Thank you for that information!! That is what I needed! I will not order it, and just get over being able to use those walls. :)

We didn't want to mess with connecting to the walls so we purchased towel racks that slip over cabinet doors. Put one below the kitchen sink and one below the bathroom sink. They work great.
