Thanks for the idea, I will take it one step further, with this suggestion I came up with a V groove wheel and track on each side of the bed, basically the same set up they use for gates that slide side to side. That way it keeps it straight and will keep the weight off of the carpet. I still need to go find the parts and figure out how to support them but if it works I will post some pictures.
