That's what we did with the swing arm lamp and the fixture over the dining table. We've just found that the fixtures we like (the two just mentioned included) are just too big for the space.

We've taken several fixtures home and tried to use them, but they either get in the way of opening cabinet doors, look to big for the small area or are practically sitting on my husband's head when he sits on the loveseat.

I did discuss lighting options with a company in MN. They mentioned they would think about opening a line for RV and boat fixtures, but we'd need to hire a lighting designer to design the fixtures. Then they'd manufacture them.

Most 120v light fixturs can be used on 12v. Just use a 12v bulb.

Ok to use a lower voltage on a 120v fixture, not ok the outher way around.

I did get my curtain issued resolved for the moment anyway, by taking the sea foam curtains down. It's a shame, because when I'd sit on the couch looking toward the love seat, the sun would shine through the curtains. When I'd look through the sea foam colored curtains, I could see the shells and starfish from the white curtains underneath. And with the sea foam curtains having a wave type texture in them, it was like looking into the ocean. Very pretty. But the whole thing just didn't fit nicely in the space we have.

The white curtains look really nice during the day when the day/night shades are open, but not crazy about the look of them at night when the shades are closed. Oh well!

You did a fantastic job. Inspires me to paint my kitchen cabinets. With tinted windows, our place is too dark and I could not get the cabinets in light maple like I wanted.
