If you are really only interested in the "shell", I would seriously consider a top-of-the-line haul trailer. The frames can be heavier, ribbing heavier, roof racking integrated with the frame, weight capacity much greater. I looked at a great car hauler, a Wells-Cargo and a Featherlight to do "do it my way". Settled on a very low mileage Class C with issues that was too cheap. My Old Cut-Away was destined to be a coach, but at almost 400,000 miles I wore out the chassis before conversion could be done.
